This is a message that we received from the band Mistaken who is so graciously playing after our FoodBank run. Please visit their site and express gratitude for all that they are doing for us and for those in need. This Saturday, November 14th, we'll be performing at a BENEFIT for the LEESBURG FOOD BANK BIKE RUN ending at the JESSE BLACK SALOON from 3:30pm - 5:30pm We're going to be performing some oldies, but goodies outside under a tent for the returning bikers and anyone who would like to attend. We ask that you please bring a non-perishable food donation with you because that is the reason for our appearance. We will be performing this show with Bobby Wright and a sit-in drummer if everything goes as planned. We would love to see all our familiar fan faces there to help support our cause and enjoy good company. We're working on other bookings again since the holidays are coming up; so, please don't forget to check our website often for some new upcoming bookings (we're working on getting back out there)! Thank you! Please drop in if you can. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!! Please visit our website: www.misstakenband.comWe are out there doing this for YOU! (as well as ourselves) We enjoy what we do and take pride in bringing a smile to your face! Feel free to offer any feedback, suggestions, comments and criticisms to us via email or off of our website. We try to take your feedback and feelings seriously in order to make ourselves better at what we do. We appreciate your support and thank you for sticking with us for so long! ___________________________________________________________________ MISSTAKEN; We Rock Hard, but Play HARDER!!! WOW. What a success this run turned out to be.We were able to collect over $1000. We will be purchasing food this week and delivering it to the food bank so that it is available for thanksgiving. A heart felt thanks goes out to everyone who participated and donated to this worthy cause. It turned out better than any of us could have ever expected.

Many thanks to all the generous and wonderful people who are our bretheren in the biker community and many thanks to all the vendors who helped make this run a success due to their sponsorship. Many thanks, to Linda and the rest of Misstaken Band. And yes Buf, you are right, she sounded like Janis and Like Stevie.

Bubba, Holly, Roger and I went to the local Save-A-Lot and with half of the monies collected we were able to purchase over 575 pounds of food. We filled 5 large carts with items that the food bank was just elated to receive. This is in addition a load of food that Bubba has already delivered prior in the month. We have reserved 1/2 of the monies collected to ensure that the food pantry has food available for the Christmas season. Everyone involved in this run should reach back and give yourselves a pat for a job well done.

You folks should be proud of yourselves! I take back half of the bad things I have said about JR and Buf (Ok, so I'm lying about that). I wish I could have been down there for this great cause.

I am sure that Food Bank was very please to receive this donation. It's a great idea to split the money collected so there will be food for Christmas also. Everyone that came to this benefit deserve a BIG pat on the back. It's because of this generosity that many people will have food on their table.
What really makes this great is I saw some people donate when themselves were having a hard time. This just goes to prove that BIKERS REALLY DO CARE!!!!!!!!!

A quick update to the Because Bikers Care Run. Bubba, JR, Rodger and I did phase two of the delivery of food to the Leesburg food bank. We delivered 458lbs of food just in time for the Christmas holidays. All totaled, and due to the generosity of everyone who attended and donated time and monies to the run we were able to deliver in excess of 1000 pounds of food. Every one of you can take pride in knowing that because of your generosity, families were able to have Thanksgiving and Christmas meals with their families. We do this Because Bikers Care.

Let me add this as well, the monies are still coming in to keep this event on an ongoing basis. Steve from Steve's Redhouse was kind enough to make a donation today for the next visit to gather food.
