B.A.C.A. works hand in hand with Law Enforcement and Child Protection Services. Members of B.A.C.A. wear a one piece patch on the back of their black leather vest. This patch must be earned. In order to begin "Earning" your patch you must first pass a Background check by both your State and The FBI. After passing these checks it will take a year of attending meetings and being a supporter before getting your back patch.

B.A.C.A. is a 80%/20% group. This means 80% for your Family, Work and Life. 20% is all that B.A.C.A. asks of your time.

Please check out B.A.C.A.'s National Web Site. www.bacausa.com
There is a interactive map to find out if there is a B.A.C.A. Chapter near you.

I am a proud Member of the Centerstate Chapter of B.A.C.A. We cover the counties of Lake, Sumter and Marion in Central Florida. There are Chapter in most states and we are growing all the time.

Hello Tugs. Skipper here. I met you at Lucky's in Eustis last weekend. I posted the link for B.A.C.A.'s national website on my club's forum. Good luck to you.
Respects,
Skipper

Skipper. as you know, Tugs is a very active member of B.A.C.A. We at InformedRider are very strong supporters of B.A.C.A. We wholeheartedly believe in their mission and in the work that they do. Keeping kids safe from those that would do them harm has been a big part of my life's work.

Why did we do it, because we can do it better.

I have just recently resigned from B.A.C.A. My entire Chapter removed their Patches after hearing about some changes. From what we were told, Females will no longer be allowed to hold the position of President, Vice President or Security Office. This is, as we were told, because of how women are seen and treated by the Biker Community as a whole. Now I can understand that it takes a certain type of person to hold a position as an officer in a group like this, but to come out and say that one gender CAN NOT hold a office is just wrong. We were also told that the woman members should act as and I quote "Beer Bitches" while they are out a a group.Jaw Dropping

My Chapter has had a woman as President for almost four years and we have never had any problem with any of the clubs in our area. As a mater of fact she is very well thought of and respected by everyone. In the time that she was President our group had grown and was still growing.

We also had a Female member that as a PHD plus plays semi pro Hockey as goalie. She can probably take a punch to the face better than most men. Now I for one would not like to be the one to tell her that she has to be a Beer Bitch. It would however be fun to watch what would happen to the guy that did though.Bought the farm.

It was a very hard thing for all of us for it to end this way but there was no other option for us and we all feel like we did the right thing.

I will end this by saying B.A.C.A. is still a great organization with everything they do for the Children and I hope that this can be worked out so they can get back to their mission.

B.A.C.A.'s motto of NO CHILD DESERVES TO LIVE IN FEAR is something that everyone of us should live by.

Tugs thanks for the info, that just might explain why I am not getting any responses for starting a Chapter of Bacca in my area . I have sent several emails requesting how to get this going here in SC with absolutely NO RESPONSE. It would sadden (and piss me off too ) to think that I could not help in this group as I have been watching them and researching their practices for a couple of years now. Up until recently I have always been involved in working with children from social services to juvenile justice . Was suffering a little burnout from dealing with the horrors I witness directed at our children every day. I hold a degree in child pysch and it would be incomprehensible that BACCA would not want my expertise in this field simply because I am female

I too was looking at starting a Local Chapter in my area. I have worked extensively with the Megans Law system in PA. I actually did all of their network and updating for a few years. But I cannot in all good conscious. So I will have to wait to see the outcome.

Why did we do it, because we can do it better.

Tugs very well said. I as well was looking into BACA since I was in FL with you and I was talking with Buford But since they start with there crap I am Less interested except for I worked with BUFORD annd a few others with with Megans law and I would like to join but won't with the way they treat certain and well deserved individuals. Until they change that I will stand alone. As Buford knows I have done that recently at a Good friends funeral and a MC club to remain nameless. I respect aqnyone against child abuse.
