Harley Cancels York County Plant Open Houses
Plant Will Sponsor York City's Bike Night In Sept.


YORK COUNTY, Pa. -- Harley-Davidson officials announced Thursday that the York County plant will not host open house events this year.

Officials said the events have been canceled "due to ongoing consolidation and restructuring activities."

The plant will be the presenting sponsor of York City's Bike Night on Sept. 24.

Free tours of the facility are still available throughout week.


This was always the biggest event of the year for the York Harley plant. They must really be hurting for money to cancel the open house events at the plant. I really do not see a bright future for Harley in York. Nor do I see a very bright future for Harley overall. Lets hope that the talks of them selling to a foreign business consortium is just rumor. Just don't think that I could ride a new Chinese version of the Hawwie Dabison is in my future.
