PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- A biker died early Saturday morning in Volusia County after hitting a deer.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 52-year-old Robert Gam, of Sanford, was on his motorcycle on Tomoka Farms Road near Avocado Drive when a deer ran in front of him.
Investigators said Gam slammed on the brakes and was thrown from the motorcycle.
He did not have a helmet on and died from his injuries, police said.
Hearing about another Brother in the Wind is bad enough but when these damn idiots have to say the the rider was not WEARING A HELMET really pisses me off. As much as I would never wish this on anyone, just once I would like to have the asshole press say the even thought XXXXXX was wearing every piece safety equipment known to man that XXXXXX still died.
